Jill Quattlebaum Byrum

 Ms. Byrum was born in Columbia, South Carolina on August 25, 1968.  She was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1992,and to the North Carolina Bar in 1997.  Ms. Byrum has been admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of North Carolina, as well as in the North Carolina Supreme Court.  She received her undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina in 1989, with a B.S. in Finance and Real Estate, magna cum laude.  She was a member of Delta Sigma Pi, and both a Carolina Scholar and a National Merit Scholar. Ms. Byrum received her Jurisdoctorate degree in 1992 from the University of South Carolina, where she was a Roy A. Webster Scholar.  Ms. Byrum is a member of the Craven County Bar Association, the South Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers Association, and the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys. Ms. Byrum is also a mediator certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission. Her practice experience includes Employment Law, Workers’ Compensation Defense, Insurance Defense Litigation, Healthcare Law, mediation, and related matters.  Ms. Byrum’s clients include Discovery Insurance Company, Companion Property and Casualty Group, and the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners.

Ms. Byrum is supported by Ms. Carrie Dorman, an experienced member of the paralegal staff.
