Scott C. Hart

Scott was born at the Second U.S. Army General Hospital in Landstuhl, West Germany, where his father was stationed with the United States Army on October 7, 1968.  He received both his undergraduate degree (B.A. 1989) and law degree (J.D. 1992) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  In 1992 he was admitted to the Bar of North Carolina, as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.  He has since been admitted to and has practiced in both the Middle and Western Districts of North Carolina’s federal courts.  He is also admitted to the North Carolina Supreme Court, the Fourth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.  Scott is a member and a former president of the Craven County Bar Association, and is a member of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys, the Defense Research Institute, and the North Carolina Bar Association.  Scott has also been certified as a mediator by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission.  He concentrates in civil litigation, law enforcement representation, local government representation, law enforcement liability defense, civil rights defense, hospital and local government liability defense, employment litigation defense, and appellate work at the state and federal level.

Mr. Hart is supported and assisted in his work by Ms. Teresa Zaytoun, an experienced member of the paralegal staff.
