Sumrell Sugg Participates In A National School Lunch Week Event With Craven County Schools

Sumrell Sugg Partner, Ross Hardeman, dished out nutritious meals and smiles as a local celebrity server at Oaks Road Elementary in New Bern for Craven County Schools’ celebration of National School Lunch Week (NSLW). This event was part of Craven County Schools’ celebration of the 2023 NSLW, promoting the importance of a healthy school lunch in a child’s life and the impact it has inside and outside the classroom. NSLW was created by President John F. Kennedy in 1962 to promote and highlight the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) that provides children from low-income families with nutritious school lunch meals. The NSLP not only reduces childhood hunger but supports American agriculture.
